Skaja and Green's Personal Smear Campaign -
Things That Didn't Happen 15 Years Ago
Mrs. Kim Skaja is sending out an email saying "have you seen this?", the "this" being an internet link. Then she writes
"Please copy/paste and share it with others." The link is to an especially disgusting, personal attack on me.
Mr. Green, a police officer, publicly called me a terrorist. Mr. Green had no evidence, photos or written findings by a law enforcement
agency that I engaged in any terrorist activities. Having nothing to back up or support his accusation didn't stop him.
One might naturally expect a police officer to act more responsibly.
Mr. Green is now publicizing accusations that I committed acts of spousal abuse, i.e. on March 22nd online in the Daily Herald,
Mr. Green wrote:
"Mr. Snow being accused of acts ranging from major traffic violations to spousal abuse"
My response to Mr. Green:
Mr. Green first publicly accused me of being a terrorist and now is willing to publicly imply / innuendo I committed a
criminal act of spousal abuse 15 or 16 years ago, knowing no law agency filed charges or filed a criminal complaint.
The link Mrs. Skaja is distributing is meant to have an immediate, emotionally-repulsive, shock value so disgusting,
you wouldn't possibly think..
"Is there any truth to the allegations?"
before immediately concluding you couldn't possibly vote for me. It is so immediately repulsive that Mrs. Skaja knows most people will not get past its immediate high shock value and ask themselves?"Was there any proof Larry Snow did any of what was written?"
The answer in one 100% accurate word is No.Were there any criminal complaints filed? No.
Was there a police investigation as a result of the accusations? No.
Did the individual pursue a full hearing before a judge? No.
The allegations were as unfounded as Mr. Green's terrorist accusation. They weren't criminal allegations or as part of any police department's criminal complaint. Both individuals knew how their allegations, at the time they made them, would have shock value. Both knew the potential consequences to themselves for filing a knowingly false criminal complaint about something that never happened.
I have three adult daughters. The accusation that I beat a woman and split her lip and beat her unconscious completely disgusts me. If you get past the emotional shock, you might ask how the Bloomingdale police would investigate a beating, see a woman has a split lip and do nothing about it? Because the split lip never happened, along with the rest of the accusations.
The accusatory document was my ex-wife's response, two years into a divorce action, (beginning about 15 years ago) to my attorney's attempt to obtain complete financial documents. She had filed an interim order of protection more than two years earlier in which none of what she later alleged was included.
My ex-wife knew she would never pursue a further hearing where my daughters, alleged as witnesses, would have honestly testified that nothing ever happened.
Can you be accused in public or in Court documents of disgusting things that are 100% untrue? Absolutely. You can also be publicly accused by a police officer of being a terrorist and get the allegation quoted in the newspapers.
Mr. Skala and Mrs. Skaja are circulating a smear campaign against me to get him elected. The idea that Mr. Skala doesn't know and approve of "Mrs. Skaja" doing this is preposterous.
The unfounded allegations are about what didn't happen more than 15 years ago in my personal life. This has nothing to do with the issues in this school board election.
Mrs. Skaja and Mr. Skala scared parents into voting for a large property tax increase with false statements about a financial crisis that didn't exist. Now she is circulating a document with false allegations which personally smear me. This shows what they and Mr. Green are willing to do to win a school board election.
Mr. Skala couldn't get elected two years ago running an issue oriented campaign. Now he and Mrs. Skaja are doing a personal attack campaign to scare voters into believing I am some kind of monster.
When you stand up to the teachers union and are effective at it, this is what happens. A personal attack campaign using false allegations gets thrown at you by their advocates. It makes a mockery of Mr. Skala's signing the Code of Fair Campaign Practices statement. When you have Mrs. Skaja and Mr. Green doing his dirty work, then his signature is truly meaningless.
And Mr. Skala calls himself a Christian.
A positive vote for me and my accomplishments is also a vote against how Mr. Skala is trying to win this election with a campaign of incredibly personal, personal-attack politics.
By the way, I believe my current driving record does not include a conviction for driving without a license. But hey, why would either Mr. Skala, Kim or Mr. Green want to tell you it was expunged from my record?
